John Anderson Jr

Board Member

John Anderson, Jr. is a member of the WYSM Board of Directors. John’s involvement with WYSM began when he met the Executive Director, Jason Lehman, at the Long Beach Police Department’s Community Police Academy. At a WYSM event, John learned more about the impact WYSM has on the community and its mission to transform the relationship between the community and law enforcement. He says that WYSM has the unique ability to educate and to present a message to both law enforcement and the community that leads to trust and understanding; a great way to solve issues and move forward, together, to thrive in a safer world.  

John is a fourth-generation Long Beach resident. He attended California State University Long Beach and Western State University College of Law. John is an estate planning, probate, and trust law attorney at the Law Office of John T. Anderson located in Long Beach, where he works with his father and sisters who are also attorneys and Long Beach residents. John believes in giving back to the community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Dental Health Clinic in Long Beach.
