K. Marie Anthony

K. Marie Anthony is a Registered Nurse Practitioner with 27 years of experience in various areas of nursing.
Currently she is the Clinical Nurse Manager for Aids Foundation Los Angeles (based in Long Beach). She supervises a staff of two RNs, one LVN, and 8 medical assistants. She is responsible for the clinical operational management of the clinic. She also sees patients as part of her Nurse Practitioner role.
K. Marie is a Masters Prepared Nurse with a special certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her Undergraduate Degrees from Long Beach City College and University of Phoenix. Her Nurse Practitioner Certification from Harbor- UCLA, and her Masters in Nursing from University of Phoenix.
She began her nursing work in a hospital, but choose to work in community health settings to reach a larger patient cohort. Since that time she has worked in the Public Health sector, various Community Clinics as well as teaching Nursing .
K. Marie has served in a clinical consultant for Paragard IUD co, as an adjunct clinical instructor for the Harbor-UCLA Women’s Health Program. She has also served as an Expert Witness for the California Board of Registered Nursing. K. Marie currently serves as a guest lecturer twice a year for the RN program at Cerritos College
Her community involvement includes being a Graduate of Leadership Long Beach, serving as a counselor for Youth Leadership Long Beach. She also served as Camp Nurse for National Conference for Community and Justice for many years.
In her downtime she can be found enjoying spin and kick boxing classes.
