Val Kane

Board Member

Val Kane is a Long Beach native who studied Criminal Justice at USC, received a Masters at Stanford University, and studied Clinical psychology at California School of Professional Psychology.  She is retired from the Los Angeles County Probation department.  She is also a licensed Clinical Forensic Psychologist.

Val sat down with founder Jason Lehman in the infant stages of Why’d You Stop Me, and was intrigued by what he was creating.  “I spent my time talking about perspective, because it is not a police or criminal thing, perspective is a people thing.  We all need to take time to look at the perspective of others.”  “WYSM’s message is necessary and has had positive changes in the way that people think.  I am excited to see what the future holds for Why’d You Stop Me.”
