Armando Yearwood
Instructor
Armando Yearwood retired from the U.S Marines after 21 years and 6 months of active-duty service. Once retired Armando served as a Deputy Sheriff for San Diego County in a custody setting. He then joined the Long Beach California Police Dept and served with them for 15 years. Armando spent 11 of those years with the Gang Enforcement Street team.
My mission is to continue to train officers in effective communication and de-escalation techniques, and create a better understanding between community members and Law Enforcement.

He now travels with the WYSM team as a Master Instructor, spreading the word on community engagement as a requirement.
