Jason Lehman

Founder/Executive Director

Jason Lehman is of the founder of the educational nonprofit organization “Why’d You Stop Me? (WYSM).” He is responsible for creating program content while also leading a group of law enforcement trainers and community champions who partner to deliver the program’s message to both peace officers and community members alike.

Amanda Dustman

Amanda Dustman is a Corporate Trainer, Instructional Designer, and Vice President in the Learning and Development department of a family owned bank for the last 18 years.  She has recently been voted in as the Board President of the “Why’d You Stop Me?” organization.

Allyson Joy

Board Vice Chair

Allyson Joy is the Emergency Preparedness Manager for the Police Department at California State University, Long Beach. She has worked at the University since 2014 where she oversees campus preparedness programs and operational readiness of the Emergency Operations Center.

Julie Bechtol

Board Treasurer

Julie Bechtol was born and raised in Long Beach, California. She attended high school at Lakewood and then went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree from California State University Long Beach. Go Beach!

Matt Krieda

Board Secretary

Matthew Kreida is a Security Manager at Allied Universal Security Services, where he leads a security team specializing in a customer service approach to security in a retail environment.

John Anderson

Board Member

John Anderson, Jr. is a member of the WYSM Board of Directors. John's involvement with WYSM began when he met the Executive Director, Jason Lehman, at the Long Beach Police Department's Community Police Academy.

Antoine Cason

Board Member

Antoine Cason is a former American football cornerback. He played college football at Arizona where he was recognized as a consensus All-American and won the Jim Thorpe Award. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Cason also played for Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, and Baltimore Ravens.

Kelli Crigler

Board Member

Ms. Crigler is a veteran of the Signal Hill Police Department serving the community since 2005.  She has been involved with the Too Good for Drugs program since 2010, which is taught at the local schools in Signal Hill.
